ResetScroll Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
ResetScroll is a screen-time app. We collect as little as possible, and this page explains what that is. By installing or using ResetScroll, you agree to this policy.
Who we are
ResetScroll is operated by Prozila Technologies, 8735 Dunwoody Pl Ste R, Atlanta, GA 30350-2995, United States. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. Reach us at support@resetscroll.com with any question or request.
What we collect
- Your device identifier. An app-scoped device identifier (your phone's Android ID). It is not your name, email or advertising ID. It lets your settings and limits work without an account, and it stays the same if you uninstall and reinstall the app.
- Usage of the apps you select. The list of apps you choose to restrict and the minutes you spend in each of them per day. Time in other apps stays on your phone.
- Your activity in the app. Daily totals, completed meditation and yoga sessions, blocks and your daily limit, so the week view and backup work.
- Your email, only if you confirm one. Optional. Used for sign-in codes and purchase recovery. A confirmed email is stored linked to your device and its usage.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe, Google Play processes the payment. We receive a confirmation and your plan status, never your card details.
The items above are sent to our secured database for every install, whether or not you confirm an email.
What we don't collect
- No browsing history, and no content of your notifications or messages.
- No data about apps you haven't selected.
- No advertising, no analytics, no trackers, no cookies.
- Camera: used only during meditation (to check your eyes are closed) and yoga (to check your pose). Frames are processed in real time on your phone using Google's ML Kit. No photos or video are ever recorded, saved or sent off your device.
- Accessibility service: used solely to detect which app is currently open and show the block screen when your limit is reached. It does not record keystrokes, read on-screen text, or inspect messages or notifications.
How we use it, and our legal bases
Only to run the app: keeping your settings and history, applying your limits, managing your subscription, sending sign-in codes and answering support requests. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Under EU and UK data protection law (GDPR), we rely on:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the app, your limits, history and subscription.
- Consent — for your optional email address, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure and prevent free-trial abuse.
- Legal obligation — to keep payment records where tax or accounting law requires.
Who holds or handles your data
Your data is kept on your phone and in our secured database so your settings survive a reinstall. We use these service providers, only to run the app:
- Supabase — data storage
- Resend — sending sign-in codes
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Google Play — payments
- Google ML Kit — on-device camera processing (no images leave your phone)
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where data leaves the EU or UK, it is protected by the providers' standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards. None of them receive your data for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you use the app. If an install is inactive for 12 months, we delete its data. When you delete your account, we remove your data as described on the data deletion page, with these exceptions:
- Trial record. A one-way scrambled code made from your device ID, with the date your free trial started. It can't be turned back into your device ID or linked to your name or email. We use it only so that deleting and reinstalling doesn't restart the free trial.
- Payment records. Kept where tax or accounting law requires, with no link to your account or usage.
- Backups. Deleted data may remain in routine backups for a limited time until overwritten.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account and data at any time in the app: Account → Delete my account and data, or by email. See the data deletion page.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to its use, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email support@resetscroll.com to make a request.
Age
ResetScroll is intended for users aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Website waitlist
If you join the iOS waitlist on resetscroll.com, we store only your email address and the sign-up date, and use it only to tell you when ResetScroll launches on iOS. To be removed, email us.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
